What to expect

Our pool at The Muswell Hill Club offers the perfect learning environment. We only have one teacher in the pool, teaching one swimmer. This means we can keep the distractions to a minimum, creating a safe and calm atmosphere.

Our specialised swimming instructor and founder, Sunee, has been working with children with additional needs for more than 15years. She will ensure that your child’s needs are met through a caring approach.

  • My daughter A. (10 y. o) has been swimming with Sunee for several weeks now. Sunee is a fantastic swimming instructor, highly skilled and experienced. She can identify the needs of a student and adjust her teaching approach accordingly. Very engaging and positive person you can see how commited she is to her work. A has developed more skills with Sunee in a short period of time than with any of her previous instructors. A. is autistic so I really struggled to find the right instructor for her. So glad we met Sunee!!! The pool is clean and nice,with good lighting and warm temperature. I love it)

Our Location

The swimming pool is located at The Muswell Hill Club, the address is 113 Fortis Green, N10 3EF. Upon arrival, please let reception know that you have come to swim with me. They will point you towards the private changing room and the pool.


  • SWEM’s founder and owner, Sunée McKelvey has 15 years of teaching experience and specialises in working with babies, children and adults with special needs. Sunée is also the owner of Swim with Sunée, a successful swim school in Cape Town, South-Africa.

    At SWEM we pride ourselves in offering bespoke swimming lessons, tailored to every individual swimmer’s needs.

    We currently offer 1-on-1 swimming lessons at The Muswell Hill Club for children and adults of all abilities. So, whether you are a complete beginner or a budding olympian looking for stroke development advice, we are here to help.

FAQs

  • I only offer 1-2-1 lessons at The Muswell Hill Club. This offers me the unique opportunity to give each swimmer the individual attention that helps them to progress at a much faster pace.

  • As a rule - no, you don’t need to get in the pool with your child. I do however offer a very bespoke service and believe that every child is unique and different, so if your little one requires you to get in the pool for a few lessons, then we do that.

  • As a fully qualified STA instructor and tutor, I follow the STA International Learn to Swim program. This program ties in with the school curriculum and also offers unique additional swimming programs and supporting awards. Please see the link for more info
